My take on the Sweet Kiss natural
Lipstick in Rose Seduisant:
The reason I wanted to buy a lipstick from
this range was because I so loved the light pink packaging. It has a cute
slider button on the side and a shade indicator on top which makes it easy to locate
in stash. Yes, it may sound a bit weird but I had a hard time selecting a shade
because I didn’t fall in love with any, which is very unlike me and but I just
had to buy one of these so went ahead with the shade I’m going to review today.
The Sweet Kiss Naturel
lipsticks are in general very sheer, unlike the original sweet kiss range and
to me, they feel more like tinted lip balms than a lipstick. It takes me more
than 4 of 5 swipes to completely build up the color so I can surely say these
are not for pigmented lips. The lipsticks are really lightweight and
moisturizing which are a big plus points about them. But then, they have very
low staying power; say about 2/3 hrs without meals. It fails miserably to the 8
hr claim by the company.
Also, there are
limited shades to choose from which is another limiting factor.
The shade that I got
is Framboise Exquise (exquisite raspberry) is definitely a pink shade but I could
not help but locate a hint of coral and brown undertones in it. In the swatch
it comes out as a pretty pink-brown shade but on my lips it comes out as a
coral pink color which is another drawback for me because although I really
like corals but am afraid of wearing them during the day. In my opinion, this
lipstick would look best when paired with a neutral smokey eye makeup and a
cool toned blush.
The good and the great:

The not-so-great:

Would
I repurchase: I really don’t think so, I don’t like the sheer nature of it and
the funny smell.
Here's me wearing it :

you all enjoyed reading the post..

ReplyDeleteHey Anuradha and Sukanya, if you like sheer lippies, you may like the Sweet Kiss Naturel Lipsticks, however, if you are fond of pigmented colors, try the sweet kiss range, the purple cap ones..
