Revlon ColorStay 12 Hr EyeShadow Quad- Copper Spice - Review

Hey beauties,

Hope you're having a relaxed Sunday . Today I thought I'd tell you about one of the most used eyeshadow quads that I have and that is the Revlon ColorStay 12 hr eyeshadow in Copper Spice.

One of the most useful purchases that I had made about 7-8 months back, I am very happy and satisfied with this quad for the naturally bright eyes it helps me achieve.

This quad comprises of four shades, A dark chocolate brown with minimal shimmer and some sheen, a shiny metallic copper. a pale satiny pink, and a golden beige highlighter. All the colors are very well pigmented except for the pale pink I think, I don't even use that shade often. My favorite is the copper shade, that all over the lids and some Kohl and mascara, and you have pretty neutral eyes , add the chocolate brown as a liner, or on the outer corner and crease for some definition, and that's a very polished evening wear look, the golden beige highlighter is a great shade too, I sometimes use it on the bridge of my nose or on the cheeks as a highlighter and on the inner corner of the yes for that open eyed look. Its a very versatile color, really!!!!

The best part about this eyeshadow quad is that you DO NOT need a primer for the colors to show up, the color payoff is awesome with almost no fallout. The texture is really smooth, almost creamy, and very unlike a lot of powder eyeshadows that I have .. If you're a beginner with eye makeup, this is the quad to start with, and even if you aren't a novice and know the art well, this quad is a must-have for everyday wear. I reach out to this when I get confused about what to wear on the eyes, this is the safest bet!! I carry it whenever I'm traveling because then I don't need to carry to many things. I can create many looks with this quad , and it works in extreme conditions, read humid and dry without fail. You can get a min of 6+ hr stay with these without primer and with a primer it can go up to 10+ hrs, don't know about the 12 hr claim because I never wear my makeup for so long..

The swatches are without a primer

Packaging is okay and I don't even bother much with that, I generally don't use the applicators provided with the quad, but the pointed applicator that this quad has is useful at times to add color in the crease or on the lower lash line.Overall, it is great value for money.

And here's me wearing it!!
Please excuse my tired looking eyes here, have been sleeping late for the past few days!!

  1. It looks so lovely on you! On my dark lids, the neutals usually have a hard time!
I have used two of these and the best part I liked was the narrow applicator which does an amazing job!

    1. Thank you Nivedita, you can actually try to apply some foundation on the lids, then a white primer, like the NYX eyeshadow base in white, top with a white creamy eye pencil, like the NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk, and then apply eyeshadow, in this way you can get the colors to show up well!!

  7. I think any day a good neutral palette with some browns and bronzes will be a winner for me..never tried any of these Revlon palettes though have read some rave reviews on them. Pretty EOTD..and not tired looking really!! I love how nicely curled your eyelashes are..I always have at least one eyelash that would be going in a totally opposite direction :D

    1. Glad you like the EOTD Radhika, and you must try atleast one of these, they have some nice shade combinations to choose from .........and about one lash going in opposite direction, haha, it happens with me too on a lot of occasions, and then begins my struggle with the mascara wand to put it in line with its other mates....
