Faces Go Chic Lipstick- Flamboyant Fuchsia- Review/swatch

Heyloooo,

Am back girls and this time I'm going to tell you all about a discovery that I made during one of my market visits. I was at a store one day to buy a few essentials when I saw a Faces counter there and I thought I'd try some lipsticks.

The Go Chic range had a lot of shades so I began there. Most of these were very boring old shades that I've heard of so much and still never wanted to buy any until I spotted this color, Flamboyant Fuchsia, I swatched it and voila!! I thought I found my Fuchsia lipstick, and without even trying it on my lips (which is what I always do before buying any lipstick) I got this home. Btw, I had been swatching the Color Elixir Lipsticks from Max Factor the previous evening and the shade Pomegranate was already on my mind. so that was another reason why I so wanted a Fuchsia Lipstick.

Anyway, I came back home, and waited for a couple of days so I could take pictures first and then try it on my lips :D and here I am, telling you about my experience with the lipstick:

To begin with, the Go Chic range from Faces offers a wise selection of color choices from Reds to Pinks and Nudes and Browns at a very affordable price tag of INR199 each for 4.5 g of  product. I had one shade called Fig from this range which kind of looks frosty to me and therefore its just lying unused in my vanity (talk about online shopping!! huh!!).  BUT the shade I got this time ...oooh la la,, this was a creamy Fuchsia, I couldn't say no to!!

Flamboyant Fuchsia is a true Hot Pink Color that in bullet looks exactly like the Colorama Nail Color in SEXY (just for reference!) . I don't know why it has not been talked about much yet, maybe because its not available on most online sites that stock the Go Chic Range :( This particular shade will suit Medium to fair skin tones more IMHO.

The lipstick feels creamy and moisturizing on the lips, very balm-y I'd say...The wearing time is about 2-3 hrs, would not survive a meal, and leaves no traces. Its like an affair that's great while it lasts but when its gone, It's JUST NOT THERE!!!!

The pigmentation is build able, 3-4 swipes will be all you need for a good deposit of color on the lips though it still doesn't become completely opaque. Also, this one settles in the fine lines, which is a big turn off in my case. Maybe because its so creamy! The lipstick also transfers a lot to cups and glasses which is kinda ...err....UGLY :/

It's also got a  faint fragrance which I like. Though the fragrance only comes to you while you're applying the lipstick and then fades away in a bit.

Ingredients: Mentioned on the outer carton:

Here's me wearing it:

Summing it up, all I can say is I don't see myself repurchasing any more lippies from this range, even if I really like a shade, I'll try to find a dupe for it somewhere else!! And although I really like this Flamboyant Fuchsia shade a lot, I don't think I'd be using it much for obvious reasons.

This lipstick did disappoint me......A LOT!!

    1. Hey Namita, you know we all learn something or the other from our blogger friends so ya, am glad I could consciously or otherwise help you out...lol

as far as wearing bold colors is concerned, its only till you get into that comfort zone, and once you're there, there will be no stopping...start by wearing bright colors only as a tint, gradually move towards the in your face kind of colors...

P.s.: Am far from perfect, but am trying my best!! :))

  11. Too bad it settles into lines and deposits itself everywhere...it's such an amazing color! I think it would take oodles of confidence to carry it off, but it's a stunner..
