How To Make A unusual Lipstick work for you ?

Hey all,

A few days back I got a request from one of my old college mate that she bought an Orangey-Coral lipstick that she liked on me,and that it looked different on me , and after getting it home she was unable to use it on herself because the color just wasn't working for her and asked for help.

So, here I am with a simple tutorial to demonstrate how such bright colors can be made to work in your favor just in case you got one without testing at a store and find the color uncomfortable to wear around.

Here's the stuff I used :

I. Start with clean exfoliated lips to provide for a smooth base.

II. Line your lips with a contrasting shade of lipliner, in this case I chose Colorbar's Lip Pencil Miami Pink-014
III. Fill your lips with the lipstick, here I used Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipstick in Kiss Me Coral.

IV. Top with a  Gloss from the same color family as the Lipstick, here I have used Revlon's Color Burst Lip Gloss in Sizzle.

Ta-Da, and you're done..
The darker shade of the lip liner with provide for a neater and more defined lip and tone down the color of the bright lipstick against your skin, and the Gloss with make the gradient look smooth.

Hope you liked this quick trick!
If you have any other requests , please write in the comments or mail me and I will try my best to help you out!!

Till next time..
cya!!

    1. Hey Nidsy, that contrasting lipliner trick is only to help in making a lipstick work if it clashes against a particular kind of skin tone :)
