Hi everyone,

Deborah Milano is one drugstore brand I can never get enough of. Everytime I visit a counter, I see something new there and I get excited.
Of late, I saw some new Skincare and makeup products on the Beauty Central counter in Gurgaon,Central and I happened to pick this Cleansing milk, ummm...mostly because I liked the packaging...and how my skin looked after I tried it on my hand to remove some makeup.

The Background:
Ever since about 2 years back, when I had a severe attack of cystic acne , and I also happened to notice that the Maybelline MAKEUP REMOVER was aggravating the situation, I completely stopped using Oil based makeup removers. I felt they were too harsh for my sensitive skin and it was then I switched to FabIndia's Lavender Cleansing milk. After finishing up numerous bottles I got bored and wanted to try some other cleansing milk so got the Tea Tree Cleansing Milk from FabIndia. But it failed to match my expectations so naturally when I saw this Laboratori Derma Group(Owned by Deborah Milano) DERMOLAB Creamy Cleansing Milk, I was drawn towards it. I've mostly had good luck with the brand before and really trusted them so tried this Cleansing Milk and without a second thought , got it home.

*Some information about Hyaluronic acid.

Hyaluronic Acid is one of the fundamental components of connective tissue and is found between the collagen and elastin fibres of skin. It’s what gives skin its typical resilience and turgor, or bounce, and helps skin maintain its shape. A shortage of Hyaluronic Acid causes skin thinning, which in turn causes wrinkles and lines to appear. With the ageing process, the concentration of this substance in skin tends to decrease.

Dehydrated Hyaluronic Acid is dispersed in silica micro-particles. Silica behaves as a vector, favouring the penetration of Hyaluronic Acid both in fine lines (i.e. filler effect) and in skin, gradually releasing it into the skin’s extra-cellular matrix. Hyaluronic Acid absorbs moisture from the skin which would otherwise evaporate from the uppermost layer of the epidermis (hydrating effect), then it swells (plumping effect), thus visibly reducing the appearance of wrinkles. Hyaluronic Acid Nano Vector was developed specifically for the DERMOLAB line: working on several levels, it enhances the anti-ageing effect to the utmost. Hyaluronic Acid may have different molecular weights and degrees of purity: the lower its molecular weight, the deeper it penetrates into skin and the better it retains moisture and hydrates skin. This action is thus exploited all they way down from the horny layer through to the deepest layers of the dermis.

My Experience with the product:

The product comes in a white bottle with a pump type dispenser that can be twisted to lock . While the bottle is milky white in color, the pump is white-pink duo chrome in color and that is what makes the packaging really nice to look at. I'd call it simple and classy.

The consistency is rich and creamy, and spreads easily on the skin. The product is white in color. The consistency is more like a moisturizer and it has mild floral scent to it, something like Jasmine flowers.

It is a very gentle cleanser and can be applied on eyes and face.At no point in time have I faced any irritation from this product. It removes all traces of dirt and makeup except for stubborn makeup like waterproof eyeliners. I have to struggle a bit there. A good way to use is apply on the face and let it sit there for about a minute and then wipe off with damp cotton swabs or makeup remover pads. My skin feels soft and smooth without any oily residues. I can just splash my face with water and apply my regular moisturizer even though without it my skin doesn't feel dry or stretchy. Instead, it looks supple and glows..Perhaps , the claims of the Hyaluronic Acid Vectors are just true.

On the pack it says, "....to strike the ideal Balance between Cleansing and Respecting the skin", and I couldn't have agreed more. My faith in the brand is further strengthened.

Although it says, ideal for dry and sensitive skin, mine is combination to oily and sensitive too but it hasn't ever broken me out.

It has a shelf life of three years but I'll finish it up way before that, I just know it!

See how it cleans:

I've not yet seen these at New U in DT City Center on MG Road. I wish they would stock these up soon, this and the Cleansing Balm from DERMOLAB.

Summarizing it:

The DERMOLAB Cleansing Creamy Milk is a creamy cleanser that works well to remove dirt and makeup except for waterproof makeup and leaves the skin feeling soft and supple. It's gentle and non-irritating to the skin and my sensitive skin has taken up the product really well.
I recommend !!
