M.A.C Retro Matte lipstick RiRi Woo from The RiRi <hearts> M.A.C. Holiday Collection (INR 1100/3g) , is described as Matte Cool Red and is available only for a limited time across M.A.C. Stores . It is as bright and bold as Red can be and THAT absolutely makes it my favorite Red lipstick right now, yes, more than Ruby Woo.
The lipstick is encased in a white pearl packaging with Rose Gold detailing and Rihanna's signature etched on the lipstick bullet. The packaging is a delight to look at. The lipstick has M.A.C.'s signature vanilla scent.
RiRi Woo is inspired by Ruby Woo, but there's slight difference in the shade. RiRi Woo is just a tad deeper than Ruby Woo but only when swatched side by side. On lips, these two are quite difficult to tell apart. That being said, if you apply both of these , one on the upper lip and one on the lower, and look closely, perhaps you can tell!! While RiRi is a deeper Red and appears more cool, Ruby , in comparison may seem just a bit warmer, only ever so slightly.
The texture is hard and stiff, much like Ruby Woo and the lipstick tugs and pulls on your lips while you apply. I have this perpetual fear that one day while I'm applying it, it might just break from the base, it's THAT hard!! But anyway, the best part is , it applied opaque in a single swipe, and the color lasted on for 6+ hours. It fades unevenly on my lips, and needs a touch up if I've had a meal or snack in between. It doesn't transfer to cups or glasses.
The lipstick can feel quite drying after about 2-3 hours of wear, and if your lips haven't been prepped properly prior to application, it might leave you with very dry lips.
