FACES Ultime Pro Lip Creme, (Rs 649/4.6 ml), available across Faces Counters
Its the season of hybrid lip products, and the newest addition to the line is the new FACES Ultime Pro Lip Cremes that provide the color coverage of a lipstick, and the shine of a gloss. Today I'm going to review two hot shades from the range , Grape Martini and Nude Mojito.
The FACES Ultime Pro Lip Cremes come in Gloss like transparent plastic tubes with black screw on caps and a sponge tip applicator with a rectangular bed and rounded corners. The applicator doesn't have any pointed tip which can be a drawback for some ladies. However, I personally don't have any issues with the same. It is quite travel friendly and easy to throw in your bag any time without any concerns of the product leaking etc.
The Lip Cremes are incredibly creamy and go on smoothly on the lips , packing on intense color in one coat. The color concentration of pigments varies , with the darker shades being more pigmented than the lighter ones. The only issue with these lip cremes is that they have a tendency to settle in lip lines (check out the lip swatches below!)
Nude Mojito is nothing but a plain nude shade which can be played up if you have a good hand with makeup. Otherwise it is a tough shade to carry. The color has a certain bit of translucency to it, and therefore, it might look more pink or more brown depending upon your natural lip color. Nude Mojito only stayed for 3+ hours without a meal and left without any stain. There is some non-uniformity in color coverage, which is quite visible with this shade as you can see in the lip swatch below. Nude Mojito is not a universal shade and women with skintones of NC 42 and above should stay away from it.
Grape Martini is a vibrant shade of purple with strong cool undertones. Purple is not everyone's cup of coffee , but if you ask me personally, I think this is the best shade of the lot and perhaps the most versatile too. It goes well with my warm olive complexion, and I can imagine ladies with milky skin rocking it equally well. Grape Martini is quite intense in color and one coat gives you true color on the lips. It doesn't quite bleed or feather and stays on the lips for as long as 3-4 hours and leaves a strong pink-ish stain behind. It does transfer a bit though.
Overall, The FACES Ultime Pro Lip Cremes are great tubes of color which come at a very reasonable price tag. They don't feather or bleed and wear very well for a hybrid product and keep lips moisturized long after they wear off.I don't have many complaints except that they tend to settle in Lip Lines.
At a price tag of Rs 649, these are absolutely delightful picks, full of intense color and moisture for your lips during the upcoming dry winter-y months.
