I've never been much into fresh and Aquatic scents because somehow they always felt a bit too masculine for my tastes. I’m rather more of a warm , musky scents, however ,when I spotted this new scent at TBS very recently, I just wanted to try out the perfume oil version of it and I must say I’m quite happy with my pick.
The TBS Fijian water lotus perfume oil comes in a clear glass bottle with a screw top cap and a stick which picks up a few drops of the perfume oil every time you take it out. The bottle is quite sturdy and I do carry it around in my handbag, though I admit I have a cushioned pouch (to carry my delicate makeup stuff ) in which I keep the bottle. Apart from that part, I wouldn't advice anyone to handle it roughly, because you know at the end of the day, its just glass.
The fragrance is really strong , heady and complex. It starts off as aquatic, but settles down into a more citrus and floral blend. The scent sure stays on for very long hours, (read an entire work day) on me. It surely mellows down but at no point in time is it subtle. I like strong scents and perhaps that is one major reason why I love this perfume oil. Layering works great for this one, however, another alternative way to make it last long is to mix a few drops with your body lotion, apart from applying a few drops at your pulse points , especially at your nape.
The perfume oils from TBS have been a hit with me, especially since they are more intense and last
longer than the regular EDT or EDP versions. The Fijian Water Lotus is a great scent with both fresh and sweet accords and is a lovely workwear/daytime perfume for me. But since perfumes area matter of preference, I’d recommend you to try the scent before buying. If you like the fragrance, you can be assured of the quality and lasting ability!
