The Body Shop Vanilla EDT(Rs 795/30 ml), is one fragrance that I never paid much attention to and got introduced in my life much later than when it should have been. I always thought of the Vanilla EDT to be something extremely sweet and overwhelming for my tastes until I tried it sometime back at a store.
Top Notes: Apricot, Plum, Peach, Lemon
Middle Notes: Tuberose, Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Lily-of-the-valley
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Amber, Musk, vanilla
This oriental fragrance is my new found love, simply because I ADORE, simply adore the tuberose notes of it, which by the way are pretty affable and not overwhelming to my senses. As you apply the scent on your pulse points , the apricot and peach notes are the first ones to hit you and slowly the tuberose comes into picture and finally the Amber and Vanilla with a hint of musk surround your senses in a loving wrap. The fragrance has average sillage , and last for about 5 hours on me and fades afterwards. The amber base lends the frangrance its warm underbosy which is extremely soothing, especially if you choose to wear this fragrance during winters. I surely have an affinity for warm scents and if you remember my Victoria's Secret Amber Romance Body Lotion review, you'd know how I feel for such scents.
Rarely, have I been disappointed with scents by The Body Shop and this one is no exception. Just that I prefer this scent for chilly winter evenings when the fragrance is exceptionally soothing to senses, and adds that warm fuzziness to the aura of the wearer.
