Autograph New York by Marks and Spencer is a Oriental Floral fragrance for women. Top notes are bergamot, gardenia and apricot; middle notes are rose, jasmine and woody notes; base notes are heliotrope, vanilla, musk and sandalwood.
It is one of the heavier, muskier scents from Marks and Spencer and I wound it more appropriate for the coldest days of winters. The vanilla and musk in this fragrance are quite strong and are my favourite notes in this scent. Both of these notes are warm and makes you feel warm and cocooned and so much more snug while you have a furry winter jacket on.
The longevity is average in my opinion, and kind of varies. Lasts much longer in winters, beneath layers of clothing, like you can whiff the vanilla and musk base-notes even after the end of the day. However, I have seen it last only about 2-3 hours at the peak of summers and needs frequent reapplication.
Yet, despite its drawbacks, Autograph New York is one of my favourite scents because of the silky, refined quality of the fragrance. It's heavy but not heady, and it's warm. The multi-faceted notes of the fragrance which is a mix of floral, fruit and spice adds a lot of dimension to the scent. And if you really don't know the price, you'd probably end up comparing this to some high end perfume in your head. I have heard people comparing the scent to Chanel Allure, but I can't vouch for the same since I haven't tried that one.
