COLORBAR Enchanting Trio Eyeshadow Palette (Rs 550/5 g) in Gorgeous Purple in a brilliant looking eyeshadow palette with Three pretty shades of purple to create a complete eye makeup look.
The Colorbar Enchanting Eyeshadow Trio comes in a shiny steel finish reflective plastic round compact case with three compartments housing three different shades and a small compartment housing a small sponge tip applicator. The Compact has a transparent plastic lid and a shuts securely with a click. The packaging is really beautiful to look at and seems to be quite travel friendly.
The three shades are a dark eggplant purple, a medium mauve pink and a light pink highlighter color.
The deepest shade (Eggplant Purple)is the best performing color in the Trio. It has intense pigmentation and a satin finish. It applied smoothly on the lids, although translating to the true to pan color was really a task. The intensity is buildable. The texture was smooth and blended easily.
The medium mauve pink color was quite weak in color intensity, and way too loaded with shimmer, not really pigmented and just wouldn't show up on my dark lids. I literally had to go over and over with the color but then was faced with a big challenge of a lot of fallout, which is a pain to clean because of the shimmer.
The last shade, a pale pink highlighter was no different than the second color. Poor pigmentation, too much shimmer and even after building layers of color, all I got was only a sheer cover of color on the lids, yes, even after using a primer.
The staying power varied from shade to shade, the darkest color staying on for much longer (about 4+ hours without primer)as compared to the lighter shades (about 2 hours), and for the lighter shades (medium mauve pink and pale pink highlighter) there was considerable fading within that time.
For Rs 550, you only get one eyeshadow that's good, if not great, on pigmentation and staying power minus any fall out issues. For me, that doesn't really sound great unless you have no other option. Infact, I'd recommend the Colorbar Single eyeshadows that are great on price vs Quality rather than investing in a trio where only one color is usable and the rest two are a waste for me. I really don't recommend this particular trio because the lighter shades translate into more or less the same color on the lids and aren't great on the performance parameters like color intensity and staying power.
