REVLON colorburst lacquer Balm , Rs 800/2.7 g, now available in stores across Delhi/NCR
High Shine Lacquer. Moisture Rich Balm
A lacquer finish that’s beyond brilliant. Balm that’s beyond comforting. Our Triple Butter Complex of Shea, Coconut and Mango butters nourishes lips. In 10 collectible, craveable colors
Originally available in 10 shades, out of which only 8 have been launched in India, these COLORBURST Lacquer Balms ,along with the matte balms are the newest craze in the makeup world and although I didn't really like the shade range much, I knew I had to pick up one just so I could try out the product .
The REVLON COLORBURST LACQUER BALM in Tease is a dark burnt orange with fine shimmer which only adds a shine to the lips. On lighter complexions, I can imagine this shade to lean more towards a brighter ,more vibrant orange though.
The packaging is shiny reflective plastic and in the same color as the product inside. It is a twist up crayon so you don't need to sharpen it and is travel friendly too as the cap closes tight.
The formula is slightly slick, and applied smoothly. The color coverage is medium and even after a couple of swipes, I can see some of my lip pigmentation through. The texture is light weight and emollient. Lips feel quite soft and supple even after hours of wearing this color. It has a minty fragrance to it and I did feel a slight tingling and cooling sensation on my lips post application.
The color lasts with its glossy shine for more than 3 hours and faints into a mild stain.
If I have to compare these with the earlier Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, I would perhaps say that these are more color saturated and more glossy in finish but less on the staining part, especially for this particular shade, Tease.
Do I recommend these?
Well of course yes, mainly because of the shine and hydration part and also for the awesome metallic shiny packaging . And it's a burnt Orange color, which is like my summer staple and I know I'm going to be using this one a lot. Compared to some other lip crayons, I really find the Revlon ones to be excellent in terms of price vs quality. My only complain would be the color saturation that could have been better. Overall, a must try from Revlon!!

DeleteLovely FOTD! I didn't get any yet but might finally get Audacious... would've got more if they were priced more reasonably.
ReplyDeleteTrue that Rashi, but if you compare with Clinique Chubby sticks, they are priced cheaper and then again if you compare with L'Oreal , these perform better, and Lakme ones I don't even want to mention... ;)
DeleteAudacious is a great shade.. go for it!

yeah..Orange is getting a lot of love ,hmm... The Lacquer Balm shades didn't quite interest me much ..and honestly this was the only one I thought would look good on warm skin, others I felt , were either TOO pink or too dark and vampy..and if not, they were very shimmery..Would love to see what you pick :)
