Colorbar JUST SMOKY KAJAL #Just Blue

Colorbar Just Smokey Kajal, (Rs 650 / 1.2 g), available online at Amazon.in HERE

Product Description:
Just Smoky Kajal gets you Glam ready in just 50 seconds. This long-lasting, multi-tasking eye pencil gives you 3-in-1 benefits of an Eyeliner, Kajal and an Eye Shadow. It helps you to achieve the mysterious smoky-eyed look which will last for up to 12 hours. It comes with a built-in smudger that is as soft as a cushion which can be used to demystify the art of smoky eyes. The intense color and matte texture of the pencil adds definition and drama to your eyes. It has waterproof property and does not transfer

The Colorbar Just Smoky Kajal, comes in a simple color coded sharpenable pencil body with a smudger on one side and the kajal on the other. The smudger is soft but not cushion-y soft and doesn't work properly to smudge the eyeshadow. Being a sharpenable Pencil, it does lead to a little bit of product wastage.

The shade Just Blue is a nice ink blue color with matte finish which is dark enough to to mistaken for black under dim lights. Under bright natural light, you can definitely see the hints of blue which makes it a beautiful day wear eye color. It is non-irritating on the waterline.

The Kajal is quite creamy and intensely pigmented, so one swipe gives saturated opaque color. It applied smoothly on the waterline as well as along the upper lash line without any tug or pull and sets into a firm matte color which can't be smudged or moved after about 10 seconds of application. No matter how quick I am in blending or smudging out the color, I always end up getting patchy application. On the brighter side, the fast setting formula does not let the liner transfer from the waterline to the underside of the upper lashes or if you tightline your upper lash line, you won't get any color on the waterline.

As a Kajal or liner, it works great and is smudge-proof and waterproof for as long as 10 hours. This isn't a very easily blendable liner so that makes is redundant as an eyeshadow as claimed by the company. If you try to rub too hard, the liner starts flaking out in bits and as a contact lens wearer, I have had issues with the flaky bits getting inside my eyes and causing irritation.
Overall, The Colorbar Just Smoky Kajal in Just Blue is a beautiful Ink Blue Color which wears very well as a Kajal on the waterline or an an eyeliner along the upper lash line. The smudger isn't of the best quality so working with it can be a pain to the lid area, especially since the liner sets in very fast and doesn't allow much time to blend the shadow for a smoked out effect. I so wish it was a little easier to blend or smoke out the liner , especially since Just Blue is the prefect shade for creating the smokey eyed effect look. I will not recommend contact lens wearers to try smudging or blending the liner to avoid any flaky bits getting inside the eyes. In my opinion , these are no better than the i-Glides made by the same brand which have been amongst my favorite eyeliners for many years now, so in case you aren't particularly bent upon a shade, you can save some moolah by getting one of the i-glides instead!!

  1. this is such a lovely colour Agni... but the price really puts me off! also, since they are sharpenable and turn flakey... But on your eyes, it looks super fascinating

    1. Thanks Tarry...Yes, the drawbacks kind of make it unworthy to invest in this kajal..Th ei-glides are a better choice in terms of blend-ability and price :)
