I have been trying out the VEDIX Customised Hair Care Box for the past few weeks and would like to tell you guys my opinion about the same.
VEDIX offers a customized and modern, completely natural hair care regime recommended by in-house experts. It is an all natural, and cruelty free brand.
The process of getting a customized box is quite simple as well. As you go the website VEDIX.com, you are asked to take a hair analysis questionnaire. It is an extensive and very thoughtfully designed questionnaire through which the team decides to analyse the dosha in your hair.
Here's the link to the questionnaire
Based on your answers, an Ayurvedic solution to your hair concerns are customized and made into a full haircare regime.
In my case, my hair was diagnosed with Kapha-Pitta dosh and my hair concern that needed immediate attention was hairfall.
A custom box was designed for me which included:
1. Anti Hair Fall Oil (Kapha-Pitta), Rs 899/100 ml
2. Anti Hair Fall Shampoo, Rs 499/ 100 ml
3. Hair Regrowth Serum, Rs 1299/ 50 ml
The care at VEDIX is not only limited to suggesting the products. They also send you an email with detailed instructions on how to use each and every product the right way for maximum benefits. Also, in one of the emails it was mentioned that for the regime to show full effects, we have to use it for a minimum period of 3 months. However, in 3-4 weeks you can start seeing visible results.
Alongwith that they also send you a weekly planned to help you sort your hair regime through the week. Mine looked like this
VEDIX Anti Hair Fall Oil (Kapha-Pitta)
This wonderful concoction of a variety of natural ingredients like Daruharidra, Bhringaraj, Amla, Karanja, Grapeseed oil, tea tree oil, lemon rind oil, lavender oil etc in a cold pressed coconut oil base is supposed to applied on the scalp and massaged every alternate day of the week. It is supposed to take care of the alleviated doshas. It lubricates the hair follicles and and scalp bed and penetrates deep into hair to provide moisture and nourishment from within. The herbs in the oil stimulate hair growth and make hair stronger to control hair fall issues.
VEDIX Hair Regrowth Serum
Since this product is for targeted application, it comes with a dropper and that makes it really convenient to use for spot application. It consists of some power ingredients like Yashtimadhu, Beejaka, Hibiscus, bringaraj, nirgundi, grapeseed oil, Cedar, Vetiver oil etc in a serum base. The consistency of the serum came quite as a surprise to me. It is runny, and feels light and cooling on the scalp. It is non greasy and penetrates into scalp bed expanding hair follicles and promoting hair growth. The ingredients in this serum help maintain the pH balance of the scalp and brings lustre and shine to hair. It makes hair healthy and bouncy.
VEDIX Anti Hair Fall Shampoo
This shampoo consists of extracts of Aloe Vera, Quinoa, Bhringaraj etc and is supposed to be used the next day after using the oil. The shampoo lathers quite well and takes away all of dirt and grime. It is also completely free of sulfates and parabens. It is actually a coconut surfactant shampoo and is free of synthetic soaps. My only concern is that the shampoo bottle is quite tiny and for someone with long hair like mine, would definitely finish up the shampoo way faster than the hair oil of serum.
Like I mentioned earlier, I have been using this regime for almost 4 weeks now. The time when I started using this range, I was suffering from a sudden hair fall which could have been either due to weather or the erratic schedules I had then. So I decided to follow the exact schedule that was suggested by the team at VEDIX in their email.
After a month of regular usage, I can definitely see that my hairfall has considerably reduced. Now it’s no more embarrassing to wear a white shirt or comb through the hair without feeling overwhelmed. Not only that I can see quite a few baby hair growing through the less dense spots as well.
Overall, I’m quite impressed with this custom created hair ritual for me. Working through the regime is definitely not easy, like sticking to the weekly plan all the time and I myself may have missed a few nights. However, if you can do that, you’ll surely see great results.
